  • DIANNE VANDERHAVE

    DIANNE VANDERHAVE

Thank you Dianne for your inspiration and igniting A Walk On Water and hosting the very first events at Hollister Ranch. You and Peter’s love supporting the AWOW OG’s throughout the years helped countless experience the transformational powers of surfing. I was lucky to become an adopted son and have you as a second mom. Know you are looking over and guiding us every day asking what’s stopping us.

FLOW is dedicated to carrying on your love and joyous spirit. Forever in our hearts, we love you Dianne!

  • HAOLE BOY

    HAOLE BOY

    Haole Boy, the surfing dog!

He resided in Ventura, CA with his parents, and his younger dog brother, Primo.

Haole served as the Ambassa-dog of his community and non-profits that provide Surf Therapy to children and adults with special needs. He started surfing later in his life (at age 5) when he "told" his parents he wanted to surf by climbing on his Dad's surfboard. Haole was a retired surf-dog competitor, whose main focus was sharing his love and comfort of surfing with others.

The Haole Boy Life lifestyle brand is a tribute to Haole for his laid-back nature, his ability to create endless smiles, and the impact he's made on lives all the while battling cancer.

Stay stoked and Live Your Life ~ Like Haole

With heavy hearts, we announce that Haole lost his battle with cancer on 5/13/2020.

~Rest In Pawradise our dear Haole-Boy~

  • SAM MORGAN

    SAM MORGAN

Sam's journey with us began 21 years ago when we first met through Surfers Healing Autism at a surf day dedicated to my late father, Pat Notaro. From the very beginning, Sam's spirit, strength, and kindness stood out. He wasn't just a participant; he became a cherished friend and an integral part of our community.

We were blessed to spend time with Sam and his wonderful family, sharing moments of profound joy and gratitude. Sam was always a big supporter when Josh Froley and I decided to start A Walk On Water, especially during the early days at Hollister Ranch. He truly embodied the spirit of community and giving back.

Sam fought a hard battle, and in that struggle, he was gifted with more time to witness his son, Jacob, surf again after many years, and time to celebrate Jacob's 18th birthday at the beach, surrounded by love and laughter.

Sam was an incredibly devoted dad and husband. His love for his family was evident in everything he did. His strength and dedication were unwavering, and he taught us all the meaning of resilience and love. Sam passed away peacefully, surrounded by his beloved family, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that will forever be remembered.

We know that Sam will always be watching over us and championing for us as we continue to evolve surf therapy through Flow Surf Academy. To Sam’s wife, Jenn, and their beautiful children, you will always be family.

Sam, your memory will always be a source of inspiration and strength for all of us.

    ~Rest in peace, dear friend.
